Oh the month of may. How lovely it is! I´have spent some weeks at home since april and I really enjoy watching the changes in the nature every day. Seeing the sun rise over one mountain, and the next week it has moved to rise over another. Seeing the trees burst green, the flowers bloom and the birds arriving and singing their beautiful song.

April and may also means that there is a lot of arm work to do. We have a tiny little small farm in Romsdal, Norway, and april is the month to prepare the upcoming winters wood storage, prepare the veggie land, away clean bushes, trees, and new to this year to prepare the hazard area for our 4 little wild sheeps!

And we have been so lucky with the weather. Sun and warm temperatures. Makes the farming work, and training easier.

This time of the year also means me readjusting to being a runner instead of a ski mountaineer. Many days I have been needing to stop myself from working 10 hours days with farm work, as I know I cannot train as good as I need!

More of that in another post!

Xx

    Hello Emelie,
There’s this lovely book that touches on farming and seasonal eating that you might enjoy: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver.
    All the best,
